The entrepreneurial spirit is an important part of PYP’s culture, and now you have the opportunity to learn and network with the Entrepreneurs of PYP. 


In this panel discussion, 5 of our entrepreneurial members will be sharing their knowledge and experiences. Each panelist will be introducing themselves and their business followed by an open floor discussion where the conversation will be driven by the curiosity of our members.  Our panelists have a variety of business experiences and roles in the entrepreneurial community, so without further ado, meet our panelists:


Erik Thomas:

Erik Thomas is the Owner and operator of Bright Thought Design a web design agency specializing in WordPress Development. Erik has been developing website since 2009 after graduating from Robert Morris University.


Caitlyn Cawley:

Caitlyn Cawley is a passionate educator who dreams of social justice. She graduated with her Master's degree in Communication Studies in 2015 and has since been building a side business in communication and leadership consulting, with a special focus on millennials. Caitlyn offers entrepreneurship and professional development mentoring for young professionals, as well as coaching in public speaking, presentation, and communication skills. She also offers workshops, talks, and data-driven consulting projects on a variety of topics, including leadership training for managers of millennials in light of the changing demographic of Pittsburgh's workforce. When not busy at work, Caitlyn enjoys contemplative writing and blogging, team trivia, frequenting Dormont's historic Hollywood Theater, and volunteering for a good cause.


Kevin Ferra:

Kevin is the founder of Ferra Executive Search, a boutique recruitment firm focused on identifying leadership talent in the healthcare and higher education industries. He is a global talent acquisition leader with over 13 years of experience in healthcare and higher education. He has been an expatriate twice, leading Cleveland clinic and Georgetown University’s first international expansions; he is Certified as a global HR professional with experience recruiting from over 60 countries. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University and the ESADE business school (Spain). He holds an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and twice participated in semester at sea.


Adam Simone:

Adam Simone is a co-founder of startup Leaf Shave Company, a personal grooming e-commerce brand. Their core product, the Leaf Razor, is a true innovation in the shaving space that leverages aspects of classic razors with modern ergonomics and is the world's first customizable multi-blade razor. He also runs the podcast StartUp Burgh, giving a platform to early-stage startups and innovators in the Pittsburgh region. Adam previously served as Director of Robotics Marketing for CMU med-tech spin off Blue Belt Technologies, which was acquired in January, 2016.


Eryn Morgan Goldman:

Business strategist and coach, Eryn Morgan Goldman works with people who are looking to grow their brand and establish a solid business foundation. She believes that marketing should not be one-size-fits-all, and helps others develop promotion plans that fit their unique needs.
