Happy Hour Hike: Upper Lawrenceville

Over the past 10 years, Lawrenceville has seen a dramatic transformation from an industrial working community to a hip, upscale urban neighborhood. The Upper Lawrenceville area – also known as the 10th ward – is the most recent section to see a resurgence of new shops and dining venues.

Join PYP for a Happy Hour Hike through Upper Lawrenceville. The tour will begin with an invigorating walk through the area to learn about the neighborhood’s blue-collar heritage and community treasures. The tour will then conclude at Full Pint Brewery for a taste of Chef Brandon’s hearty sandwiches and a beer sample.

This event is for you if:

• You are interested in the history and culture of Pittsburgh neighborhoods
• You appreciate the grit of a neighborhood in transition.
• You’re tired of the typical happy hour
• You want to learn something new

Schedule:

6:00pm – Meet at the corner of 55th and Butler Street (Across the street from Neid’s Hotel)

6:15pm – Tour begins, we will be starting promptly so please be on time!

6:15 – 7:45pm – Walking historic tour through Upper Lawrenceville

7:45 – 8:15 – Full Pint, Beer and Food tasting (5310 Butler St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201)

Parking: Free street parking is available along Butler Street
