Join PYP for September’s Dinner Club and enjoy an authentic Brazilian dining experience at Pittsburgh’s new Fogo de Chão! Happy hour begins at 5:30 with dinner to follow at 6:30. Attendees are responsible for paying for their own dinner and drinks (individual checks will be provided to attendees). Street parking is available (free after 6pm) and complimentary parking is available after 4:00pm at the 350 Oliver Avenue Garage with validation.

The founders of Fogo de Chão grew up on a traditional Southern Brazilian farm in the Serra Gaucha. Here, they learned the traditional churrasco grilling technique that would become the backbone of our story. The founding brothers left the quaint, mountainous countryside of Rio Grande do Sul to Rio and traveled to São Paulo for formal churrasqueiro training, all while developing the Fogo concept. Their first restaurant, built of wood and nestled in the countryside of Porto Alegre, grew out of an obsessive dedication to quality, investments in the art and culture of the city and a respect for the heritage of the founders’ families. At the requests of loyal American guests, the Fogo concept was exported into the U.S.

The following menu option has been created for this event for just $39.00 (plus cocktails, tax, and gratuity):

Market Table and Feijoada Bar: seasonal salads, exotic vegetables, imported cheeses, smoked salmon, cured meats, Fogo feijoada (traditional black bean stew with sausage), seasonal soup, and more

·         Fraldinha (Bottom Sirloin)

·         Costela de Porco (Pork Ribs)

·         Cordeiro (Leg of Lamb)

·         Bisteca de Porco (Pork Chops)

·         Lombo (Pork)

·         Medalhões com Bacon (Bacon-Wrapped Steak & Chicken)

·         Linguiça (Pork Sausage)

·         Frango (Chicken)

Served with traditional Brazilian sides of warm pão de queijo (cheese bread), crispy polenta, mashed potatoes, and caramelized bananas

Dinner also includes a Choice of Dessert (half-sliced) Chocolate Mousse Cake, New York Cheesecake, or Key Lime Pie and fountain beverages, coffee (regular or decaf) and tea are included in the package.
